I CANT STOP LAUGHING

It’s just a flesh wound.
The single greatest scene in cinematic history.
(i dont reblog things on this blog but this was a keeper)
Mr Rogers Facts.
be the person mr rogers thought you could be
Mister Rogers changed my life and is a large part of the reason I’m still here. When I was little and thought no one would give a damn if I died, I knew Mister Rogers cared and that got me through some of the tough times.
A furby is an electronic robotic toy that resembles a hamster or owl. People regard them as creepy, evil and haunted. There are many stories floating around about how they kept talking even after the battery was taken out. They would turn on by themselves and walk around the house.
One person said that it would “laugh maniacally and growl at him” Some feel as if they are constantly being watched by them. According to this BBC news article furbies were banned in National Security Agency premises in Maryland. They believed the toy posed a threat because it can repeat what it hears.
Am I the only person not terrified by these damn things?
I just want everyone to see how unrealistic some expectations are.
Are there people in this world who legitimately believe shaving everyday is a must?
My mom used to but for some reason I never internalized that.
I don’t bother unless I’m wearing something that REQUIRES my legs to show. Because having my legs itch like hell afterwards is just not worth an everyday shave.
WHEN WE WERE LITTLE SOME TEACHER TOLD US, THE GIRLS, THAT WE WERE LIKE FLOWERS, AND EVERY MAN WE HAD TOOK A PETAL WITH THEM. IF WE HAD TOO MANY WE WOULD END UP LIKE AN UGLY, WITHERED FLOWER AND NO ONE WOULD WANT USThe crap, people? How about telling both boys and girls the truth? Sex is intimate, shouldn’t be just treated like any other bodily function if only because it involves another person and is very intimate… At best, you save it for someone who genuinely cares about and respects you. At least, you save it for someone who respects you enough to be honest about their history, use protection, and to not to insist on doing anything that makes you uncomfortable… And above all stops when you say so. Girls AND boys.
And yeah, I do have religious beliefs that support waiting for marriage. We consider sex to be something precious to bring two people closer… it’s not just any old activity here. But I was just telling my son today that yeah, there’s the ideal and then there’s what’s possible, and I wanted him to understand that if a girl says no even if she said yes before, he stops. Then I added that it goes the same for guys… If the guy says no, it means no. Less common, but possible, and this is my son here… And I told him that if anything did happen, he needs to speak up because guys usually don’t.
Man, was he in a hurry to end that conversation. I hope he got the message.
I wish i had a mom like you.
this post always gets me because I’m going to assume that some [maybe all] of this is from a public school education. I went to a Catholic school in elementary and middle. Then, a public high school and the sex ed WAS EXACTLY THE SAME. In my high school you had to take an elective[optional] class called child development before you learned ANYTHING about contraception and I think that’s really very sad. My parents didn’t give me that good of a talking either. My Dad steered the hell clear of it and Mother basically told me “look I know you’re a teenager but sex isn’t the end all be all” not a bad lesson but still not enough. I was lucky that they allowed me to have a television in my bedroom cause I’d turn it to the oxygen channel and watch ‘Talk Sex with Sue Johanson’ may the gods forever bless that beautiful woman. Her program was actually pretty awesome and very informative. I really wish there were more like that available.

Hhhhhhh good to see how it works with the color~
My heart just exploded. I really want to see the whole thing now :D
Don’t Throw Away Your Markers
“This is just a quick and simple tip for artists who use markers to color their work. Refilling your own markers can save you money, and it’s easy to do.”
how does this not have more notes!
i… i think i can actually afford to use these, then.
reblog for my artist friends!
I’m glad this came back around because I forgot to add the first time that ANYTHING LIQUID AND CLEAR WITH A HIGH ENOUGH ALCOHOL CONTENT WORKS FOR THIS so we’re talking your facial cleanser, screen cleaner, vodka, perfume, you name it. I used to have a cheap ass bottle of this facial cleanser stuff that didn’t smell of much and it worked like a charm for renewing alcohol markers like copics. Things like that are also probably cheaper or easier to get than high grade raw alcohol especially if you’re not doing professional works and just drawing for fun.
Want to attend college for free? It can happen if you learn German.
All German universities are now free to Americans and all other international students. The last German state to charge tuition at its universities struck down the fees this week.
Even before Germany abolished college tuition for all students, the price was a steal. Typically semester fees were around $630. What’s more, German students receive many perks including discounts for food, clothing and events, as well as inexpensive or even free transportation.
In explaining why Germany made this move, Dorothee Stapelfeldt, a Hamburg senator, called tuition fees “unjust” and added that “they discourage young people who do not have a traditional academic family background from taking up study. It is a core task of politics to ensure that young women and men can study with a high quality standard free of charge in Germany.”
Actually, German universities were free up until 2006 when they started charging tuition. That triggered such a crush of criticism that German states began phasing out this policy. Lower Saxony was the last holdout.
It’s too bad that politicians in the U.S. don’t feel that a college education is worth supporting appropriately. State aid to the nation’s public universities took a nosedive during the 2008 recession and education funding remains well below those levels. The average state is spending 23 percent less per student than before the recession, according to a report by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
Actually, state support has been declining for public universities for a quarter of a century. Using an interactive tool from The Chronicle of Higher Education, you can see how state government subsidies have cratered at individual institutions.
With the average undergrad borrower now leaving school with more than $29,000 in debt, the free ride in Germany can look awfully tempting.
How to handle the language barrier
German is not an easy language to learn. Fortunately, however, there are international language programs in Germany, which have become very popular with international students before they tackle obtaining a degree in a different language.
What’s more, an increasing number of German universities are offering degrees in English. These are often called international studies programs or in some other way have the word international in their title.
This is actually making me cry…it’s one of those times when you realize that your own government just truly, honestly, does not give a shit about your wellbeing in any way.
If Americans don’t reblog this, then y’all need help.
Good Idea: Looking up references for characters with specific facial features for realism.
Not-so-good Idea: Looking up references for characters with specific facial features for realism, and developing crushes on obscure models.
